All sales are final. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
USS Academy does not accept deposits or partial payments. Full payment is required before any student is placed on the calendar.
2. Rescheduling Policy
We are extremely flexible with rescheduling and will do our best to accommodate reschedule requests.

- A reschedule fee may be charged if a student attempts to reschedule with less than 40 hours notice before their scheduled class.
3. USS Academy Class Changes
USS Academy reserves the right to reschedule any class for any reason, including but not limited to weather, range availability, instructor scheduling, or other operational considerations.
4. Student Removal Policy
USS Academy reserves the right to remove any student from class for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Safety violations
- Conduct issues
- Situations where the instructor, range, or other clients are uncomfortable
No refund will be issued if a student is removed from class.
5. Groupon and Promotional Purchases
Classes purchased through Groupon, coupon codes, or other promotional channels are subject to the refund terms of the original platform. Contact the platform where you made the purchase for any inquiries. USS Academy cannot process refunds for third-party purchases directly.

7. Understanding Our Policy
We understand that a strict no-refund policy may seem inflexible at first glance, and we want to be transparent about why this policy exists and how it benefits every student who trains with USS Academy. Firearms training is fundamentally different from many other types of services and educational programs, and the economics behind how classes are structured make refund policies essential to maintaining the quality, safety, and consistency our students expect.
When you book a class with USS Academy, your seat is immediately reserved on our calendar. That reservation triggers a series of commitments on our end: instructor scheduling, range time booking, ammunition procurement, training material preparation, and insurance coverage allocation for your specific session date. Many of these costs are incurred well before your class date arrives and cannot be recovered if a student cancels at the last minute. Unlike a restaurant that can seat another customer within minutes, a firearms training seat that opens up 24 hours before class often cannot be filled, which means the resources allocated for that seat go unused.
Range facilities charge USS Academy for reserved time slots regardless of whether every seat is filled. Our instructors are contracted for specific dates and compensated whether the class has eight students or five. Ammunition purchased for a class cannot always be returned to suppliers. These operational realities are why nearly every professional firearms training academy in Florida and across the country operates under an all-sales-final policy. It is an industry standard, not a USS Academy invention.
That said, we are not in the business of taking your money and leaving you without options. We built our rescheduling policy to be as flexible as possible precisely because we know life happens. Emergencies come up, schedules change, and we genuinely want every student who pays for a class to attend and complete that class. Our goal is to train you, not to collect fees for services you never receive.
8. Rescheduling Options
USS Academy is committed to working with students who need to change their class date. We understand that scheduling conflicts, family emergencies, work obligations, and unexpected situations arise, and we want to make the rescheduling process as painless as possible.
- More than 40 hours before your class: Contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone at 407-305-8335 and we will reschedule your class to any available future date at no additional charge. No questions asked. We will confirm your new date via email within one business day.
- Less than 40 hours before your class: We will still work with you to reschedule, but a reschedule fee may apply. This fee helps offset the costs already committed for your original session, including range time and instructor allocation. The exact fee depends on the course type and circumstances — contact us to discuss your situation.
- No-shows without prior contact: If you do not attend your scheduled class and do not contact us beforehand, your seat is forfeited. No refund or reschedule credit will be issued for no-shows. We strongly encourage you to reach out to us before your class date if you know you cannot attend.
- Medical or family emergencies: We handle genuine emergencies with compassion. If you experience a medical emergency or serious family situation that prevents you from attending, contact us as soon as possible. We evaluate emergency reschedule requests on a case-by-case basis and will do our best to accommodate you.

9. Group Bookings & Special Events
USS Academy regularly hosts group classes for corporate teams, church groups, community organizations, bachelorette and bachelor parties, birthday celebrations, and other special occasions. Group bookings follow the same all-sales-final policy as individual enrollments, with a few additional guidelines.
- Group size changes: If your group size decreases after booking, the total fee is not adjusted. Payments are based on the number of participants confirmed at the time of booking. However, if you need to add participants, we will accommodate additional attendees subject to availability and at the current per-person rate.
- Substitutions: You may substitute one participant for another at no additional charge, provided the substitution is communicated to us at least 24 hours before the scheduled event. The replacement participant must complete their own waiver before attending.
- Group rescheduling: Group bookings may be rescheduled with at least 72 hours notice (compared to 40 hours for individual bookings). This extended window is necessary because group sessions require more complex logistics, including larger range time blocks, additional instructors, and specialized equipment preparation. Rescheduling a group with less than 72 hours notice may incur a rescheduling fee.
- Private event cancellations: For fully private events where USS Academy has reserved an entire range or facility exclusively for your group, cancellation terms are outlined in your event contract. These events typically require a non-refundable deposit at booking, with the balance due before the event date.

10. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a refund if I change my mind about taking the class?
No. All sales are final once payment is processed and your seat is reserved. We understand that plans change, which is why we offer flexible rescheduling. If you decide you no longer want to take a specific class, we can reschedule you to a different date or, in some cases, transfer your enrollment to a different course of equal value. Can I receive a credit toward a future class instead of a refund?
In certain circumstances, yes. While we do not issue cash refunds, we may issue a USS Academy class credit at our discretion. Class credits are typically valid for 12 months from the date of issue and can be applied toward any USS Academy course of equal or lesser value. If you apply a credit toward a higher-priced course, you are responsible for paying the difference. I purchased my class through Groupon. How do I get a refund?
Classes purchased through Groupon, LivingSocial, or other third-party deal platforms must be refunded through the platform where you made the original purchase. USS Academy does not have access to your payment information on those platforms and cannot process refunds for third-party transactions. Contact Groupon customer support directly through their app or website to request a refund according to their policies. If your Groupon voucher has not yet been redeemed with USS Academy, Groupon's standard refund policy typically applies. Once redeemed, it is subject to our all-sales-final policy.
I received a gift certificate for a USS Academy class. Is it refundable?
USS Academy gift certificates and gift vouchers are non-refundable. They may be transferred to another person, and the recipient can use them toward any class of equal or lesser value. Gift certificates do not expire. If the recipient wants to take a class that costs more than the certificate value, they simply pay the difference at the time of booking.
